Wilder Lazo - Natural Sidamo Heirloom

Wilder Lazo is a veterinarian who took over the family farm, Bella Alejandría in San Adolfo, Huila, with his brother in 2016. He brought a scientist's approach, testing and correcting the soil to lift his coffee well beyond its early low-80s scores. This lot started as 2 kg of Ethiopian Sidamo green coffee his export partner brought from Germany in 2019. Only 2.7% germinated, but those seedlings are now 1,000 heirloom bushes growing at 1,800 to 2,100 metres.

Processed as a straight natural with no added fermentation and dried on raised beds, it's a proper fruit bomb: wild strawberry and ripe peach, lifted by orange blossom florals.
