This microlot comes from Raquel Lasso, owner of Finca La Bohemia and president of FUDAM, a 300-member association of organic and Rainforest Alliance–certified farmers in La Unión, Nariño. FUDAM was founded in 2000 to promote sustainable agriculture and environmental protection. The farmers are dedicated to organic farming, choosing not to rely on chemicals, as this aligns with their values and way of life. Coffee is hand-picked, fermented for 16–24 hours, washed 2-3 times, and dried using various methods, taking anywhere from 25 hours to 15 days.
The resulting brew is very sweet and elegant with notes of fresh bergamot, papaya and jammy mango.
